Crochet Hat sizes with this Double crochet pattern

Newborn baby head circumference, 13″ – 14″, Hat height = 5.5 to 6″= D hook
Baby 3 to 6 months, Head Cir, 14″ – 17 “, Hat height= 6.5 – 7″=E hook
baby 6-12 months, 16″-19″ head cir., hat length=6.5-7″=F hook,
toddler-preschooler (12 months-3 yrs), 18″-20″ head cir., hat length=7″ =G hook
child 3-10 yrs, head cir., 19″-20 1/2 “”, hat length= 7.5″=H hook
teens, head cir., 20 1/2″-22″, hat length, 7.5-8″=I hook
Adult women, 21.5″-22.5″, hat length, 8″= J

I used Red Heart Dark Pink yarn

J hook for an Adult size

Instructions:

ch 5- slip stitch to form a ring,
rnd 1. ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join with sl st. on top of ch 3. -12 sts.
rnd 2. ch 2, dc in same st. as joining, 2dc in each st. around. join with sl st on top of chain 2. -24 sts.
rnd 3. ch 2 counts as the first stitch, *2dc in next st., dc in the next stitch, repeat from *around, join with sl st. -36 sts.
rnd 4. ch 2, dc in the next st., 2dc in the next sts., *dc in the next two stitches, 2dc in the next stitch, repeat from *around, join with sl st. -48 sts.
rnd 5. ch 2, dc in the next two stitches, 2dc in the next st., *dc in the next three stitches, 2dc in the next stitch, repeat from *around, join with sl st. -60 sts.
rnd 6. ch 2, dc in each dc around, sl st
rnd 7. ch 2(doesnt count as a dc) *fpdc in the next 3 dc, bpdc in the next 3 dc, *Repeat around, sl st in the ch 2

Red Heart Pink yarn or whatever you prefer

yarn needle

Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sl st=slip stitch
sc=single crochet
hdc=half double crochet
ch=chain
fphdc= front post half double crochet

Adult Women Size

Two ways to make this below with two different sized hooks

Supplies:

Red Heart Love yarn, 4 ply

I made these slippers for myself. I wear about 8 1/2 size shoe. You will need to use measuring tape to help you with this pattern and the women’s foot available if the shoe size is a different size.

Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sl st=slip stitch
sc=single crochet
hdc=half double crochet
ch=chain

Start: Make 2, K hook
Toe: Chain 2, work 5 hdc in the 2nd chain from hook, sl st
Rnd 2: *Work 2 hdc in each hdc around*Repeat around, sl st -10 hdc
Rnd 3: *hdc in the next, 2 hdc in the next hdc, *Repeat around, use a marker now, and dont use a sl st, -15 hdc

Rnd 4: *hdc in the next two hdc, 2 hdc in the next hdc, *Repeat around, sl st -20 hdc

Rnd 5: *hdc in the next three hdc, 2 hdc in the next hdc, *Repeat around, sl st -25 hdc

Rnds 6-cont.: Hdc in each hdc around, (work in continual rounds without a slip stitch, use a marker)*Repeat this round until the toe Reaches 5.5 inches long, Now if your Foot is smaller then a size 8.5, then you will crochet up to the about a 1/2  inch away from your ankle and stop until the next rows below.

Next Rows: This is the opening of the Slipper where the foot goes in: Now Chain 1, and Turn, *hdc in each hdc around until you reach the marker from the last round, Chain 1 and Turn, *Repeat this until your slipper reaches 10.5 inches long or about 4.5 inches from the end of the last round of the toe to end of the heel, or  if your foot is a different shoe size, crochet until you can close the last rows together and it fits comfortably without the slipper coming lose when you walk.

Once your slipper reaches the length to fit a women, then take the ends of the last round, and slip stitch across to close it for the heel. Then at the end, I turn it inside out, so the heel seem won’t show. . Now fasten off and weave in the ends.

Now For the Crocodile Stitch Part:
With your yarn Attach the yarn in the middle of the top part of heel.
Single crochet around the opening of the bootie once. sl st. -27 sc, Make sure you end with 27 sc.
v-stitch= (hdc, ch 1, hdc)
Rnd 1: Ch 3, hdc in same stitch,* skip sc, v-st in next ch, rep from * around, join with sl st on top of first hdc. – 15 v-stitches
Rnd 2: Ch 2 (counts as a hdc), working from top to bottom around post of first hdc of first V-st, work 3 fphdc, turn work so v-st is sideways, ch 1, working from bottom to top around post of second hdc of v-st, work 4 fphdc , * skip next v st, working from top to bottom work 4 fphdc around post of first hdc of next v st, ch 1, turn work so v-st is sideways, working from bottom to top around post of second hdc of v st, work 4 fphdc, rep from * around; join with sl st in top of first hdc.- 7 crocodile stitches in total.

Rnd 3: Ch 3, hdc in same st, v-stitch in the center of the crocodile stich,  *v-st in next ch 1 sp,  v-stitch in the center of the next crocodile stitch, repeat from * to * around;  join with sl st in top of first hdc

Rnd 4: Repeat rnd 2 into alternate v-st

Rnd 5: Repeat rnd 3

Rnd 6: Repeat rnd 2 into alternate v-st

Fasten off and Weave in the ends.

I hook with Red Heart yarn,

Bow: Black yarn, I hook, Chain 4, sl st to join. *Chain 4, work 4 treble crochet into the ring, chain 4, sl st into the ring. Then the side of the bow, *Repeat to create the other side of the bow. Take about 15 inches of yarn and wrap it around the center, then weave in the ends to secure it.

Caron 4 ply (3 oz. skeins)–8 dkiens of yellow, 2 skeins light  green yarn ( or whatever color you prefer)

Abbreviations:
Ch= chain

beg=beginning
HDC= half double crochet

Guage  5 sts= 1 “;  4 rows= 1 inch

Blanket
With yellow yarn,  ch 141
Row 1:  Skip the second ch from the hook, work 1 sc & 1 HDC in third ch from  hook,
*skip 1 ch , 1 sc &  1 hdc in next * Repeat from  st;  repeat from *  to*  across-( 140 sts)  Ch 1, turn
Rows 2-14: * Skip  1st stitch , 1 sc &  1 hdc in next st; repeat from *  across, changing to light green in last st of  or Row 14- (140 sts)
Row 15: Work pattern changing to Yellow Yarn in last st.
Row 16: Work pattern  changing to Light Green in last st.
Row 17: work pattern changing to Yellow in last st.
Row 18: Work pattern across.
Rows  19-122:  Repeat rows 1 through 18  five times, then end with 14 rows of yellow.


Border
Row 1: Work  1 rnd of HDC around border with Yellow, increasing 2 HDC at each corner, and working 1 HDC in edge of each row along two side edges. Join end of rnd with sl st to first HDC.
Row 2: Ch 1 at beg corner, sk  1st st, work  (1 sc, 1 dc, 1 sc) in next stitch; * sk 2 sts,(1 sc, 1 dc, 1 sc) in next st;   repeat from *  around, skipping only 1 st between groups of sts when working around corners.  Fasten off.

Rnd 17: Ch 2, work hdc in each dc around, sl st

Rnd 18: Ch 1, sc in each hdc around, sl st. Fasten off. Curl up the edge of the hat.

Gold Buckle:

H hook, Gold yarn (change the hook size to the size hat you want, up above is the sizes)

Rnd 1: Chain 20, sc in the next 4 chains, work 2 sc in the next, *sc in the next 4 chains, work 2 sc in the next, *Repeat around. sl st -24 sc

Rnd 2: *sc in the next 5 sc, work 3 sc in the next sc, *Repeat around, sl st

Fasten off.  Sew the buckle on the other side of the seam of the hat onto the center of the black part of the hat, seen in picture above.

I hook

A Skein of Multi-colored yarn

Chain 3200, I counted by multiples of 100’s.

Then take the chains and wrap it around your neck about 30 times. Weave in the ends.

Chain 300. Take the chain and wrap it around the part you weave in. Wrap it around as seen in the picture above as many times as you can, then weave in the ends. It’s that easy, just a lot chains. But it works up pretty fast if you keep working at it.
