Supplies:

K hook

Any kind of yarn you prefer

yarn needle

I made this for my daughter who is 7 1/2 years old. Her foot is about 13 1/2 shoe size to almost a Size 1, and 7 inches long. This slipper should fit a child from the ages of 5- 8 years old. Just when you get to the length of the slipper, measure your child’s foot. My daughters foot measured 7 inches, so I made the slipper about 7.5 to 8 inches long to fit and before I slip stitched it closed, I put it on her foot to check if it fit.

For my 2 1/2 year old it fit nice and snug but in a comfortable way so if you want it a bit looser go up a hook size.

Two ways to start this Hat with a Magic Circle or Do Rnd 1:

Here is a Magic Circle with Double Crochet Video, then Continue on to Rnd 2: or Do Rnd 1: Instead of the Magic Circle:

rnd 2. ch 2, dc in same st. as joining, 2dc in each st. around. join with sl st on top of chain 2. -24 sts.
rnd 3. ch 2 counts as the first stitch, *2dc in next st., dc in the next stitch, repeat from *around, join with sl st. -36 sts.

rnds 6- Ch 2, dc in each dc around, *Repeat around, sl st. -60 sts. Repeat this round until the hat reaches 6.5 inches from the top to bottom.
Last round: sl st, *work 5 hdc in the next dc, sl st in the next dc, *Repeat around. sl st
Ringlets:  I hook, chain 35, work a dc in the 3rd chain from the hook, dc in each chain across, Fasten off. Make 6
Take your Hook and wrap the Ringlet around the hook to create a Ringlet. Attach 3 Ringlets on each side of the hat. Wrap a ribbon around the 3 Ringlets on each side of the hat. You could use a yarn stiffener and spray with water and stiffener onto the ringlets to harden them.

Head Sizes:

Newborn baby head circumference, 13″ – 14″

For those requesting larger sizes; I only have the baby size for now, because I had a baby dress and baby doll to compare it to, I dont know about making it bigger right now, and that dress took me a while to make and I have a torn muscle in my shoulder.
