E and F Hooks

Red Heart Thread Size 3 White Yarn and Sugar N Cream Cotton White Yarn

Yarn Needle

Starch, Optional, you can starch them when you are finished.

Abbreviations:

ch=chain
sl st=slip stitch
sc=single crochet
dc=double crochet
hdc=half double crochet
beg=beginning

How to Crochet a Snowflake Video:

E hook, Thread yarn, Dimensions are 2″ x 2.25″
Rnd 1: Ch 5, sl st to create a ring.
Rnd 2: Ch 2(Counts as first Dc), dc, ch 2, 2 dc, *ch 2, work 2 dc, *Repeat for a total of 12 dc, sl st into the ch 2
Rnd 3: sl st into the ch 2 space, sc, ch 2, sc, sl st into the next ch 2 space, *sc, ch 2, sc, *Repeat around for a total of 6 times, sl st to join
Rnd 4: sl st into the ch 2 space, ch 2, sl st, ch 4, sl st, ch 2, sl st, *sl st into ch 2 space, ch 2, sl st, ch 4, sl st, ch 2, sl st, *Repeat around for total of 6 times, sl st to join. Fasten off. Leave a tail and create a loop to use as a hook, then weave in the ends.

F hook, Cotton yarn, Dimensions are 3″ x 3″
Rnd 1: Ch 6, sc 6 times into the 2nd chain from the hook, sl st to join.
Rnd 2: Ch 2(Counts as first Dc), work 2 dc in the first sc, *ch 2, work 3 dc in the next sc, *Repeat around for a total of 6(3 dc’s), sl st to join.
Rnd 3: sl st into the previous ch 2, ch 3(counts as first dc and ch 1), work 2 dc, ch 3, work 3 dc, ch 1, sl st into the same chain 2 space, *sl st into the next chain 2 space, work 3 dc, ch 3, work 3 dc, ch 1, sl st into the same ch 2 space, *Repeat around for a total of 6(3dc,ch3,3dc), sl st to join. Fasten off. Leave a tail and create a loop to use as a hook, then weave in the ends.

F hook, Thread yarn, Dimensions are 4″ x 4″
Rnd 1: ch 2, work 8 sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, sl st to join.
Rnd 2: work 2 hdc in each sc around, sl st to join. -16 hdc
Rnd 3: ch 4(counts as first dc and ch 2 in the first hdc), dc in the same hdc, skip next hdc, *ch 1, dc , ch 2, dc into the next hdc, skip next hdc, *Repeat around for a total of 8(dc,ch2,dc v-stitches), sl st to join in beg. ch 2.
Rnd 4: sl st into the ch 2 space, ch 2(counts as first dc), dc, ch 3, work 2 dc, *Work 2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc in the next ch 2 space, *Repeat around for a total of 8(2dc,ch3,2dc), sl st to join.
Rnd 5: sl st into the ch 3 space, work 3 sc, ch 2, 3 sc, sl st in between the previous 2 dc, and the next 2 dc, and work a sc in between those two 2dc, and next 2 dc, sl st into the next ch 3 space, *work 3 sc, ch 2, 3 sc, sl st in between the previous 2 dc, and the next 2 dc, and work a sc in between those two 2dc, and next 2 dc, sl st into the next ch 3 space *Repeat around for a total of 8(3sc,ch2,3sc), sl st to join. Fasten off. Leave a tail and create a loop to use as a hook, then weave in the ends.
