    Such a cute pattern!

Do you happen to know what the circumference of the diaper cover should be at the waist when buttoned? I’m working on it, but it looks super tiny!
Maybe I’ve just been too long away from babies though.

  2. amray2007 says:

Their waist is 18 inches around. So make sure its 18 inches around, then the left over space is where you can sew on the button and fasten.

Thank you for your pattern . I going to get started right away.
would you happen to have a baseball cap and baseball diaper cover . These four items will be a surprise to the new parents
    thank you
    sharon

I need to increase the size to 3 to 6 months for the diaper cover how many chain stitches or stitches needed to increase? Ty for your help. Lori

  5. sandra says:

I did your diaper cover and i notice you have a different count on your diaper in the pic then in your pattern which has a count of ten and in your pic it is a count of 11 I can clearly count. why is that or am i seeing things. Thank you for your time and the pattern I do like it I was just wondering.

  6. amray2007 says:

ok, with sc2tog decrease, sc in the next 10 stitches, sc2tog decrease., it will be 12, not 10, hope this helps

My niece is adopting a preemie (if he makes it…he’s already died once and is now having seizures)…it’s been 10 yrs since I’ve crocheted anything other than blankets for new babies. he’s 1.3 pounds…you say it’s 18 inches around…how much smaller do you think I would need to make this? Right now he’s unable to wear ‘clothing’ due to the need to be able to see his chest rise & fall. His due date was 10/28 so he will be in NICU until then unless he gets to 5 pound first. Soo…I guess my question would be…how small should i make this for a 5 pound baby?

  8. amray2007 says:

Hope the baby makes it! I would have to rework the whole pattern, so I cant say for sure, but I would try a smaller hook size to make it smaller to make one less increase in the pattern.

  9. amray2007 says:

you can try that and see if works, I dont go by that. I usually measure it up to the baby’s clothing.

So I just want to thank you! After searching for a right pattern, yours was perfect! My friend is having a baby after several miscarriages and is due June 2017, and her husband love Michigan colors and since they are having a boy I wanted to do something football related, and bam this was perfect! I knew I was going to do a hat and cover, but your pattern was just what I was looking for thank you! I’m sure they will love it!
