ok I reworked the pattern. I am just going to leave it the way the pattern is stated because it still works out, and this pattern was done a while ago, it will be too tough to figure out the last round that was left out and rework it. It still works out the way it is written. thanks

I just created the doily and when I got to row 7, I also realized my doily did not look like the picture. Finally I scrolled down and saw the previous post from Vicki. Is there a way for you to put a note at the top of the pattern for future crocheters to see before they get all the way to the end and realize something is wrong?

You are correct that the pattern works out fine the way it’s written. Thanks.

I fixed it so there is an edging and matches the picture, and I plan on making a video for this soon.

thank you! this is the first time I have attempted a “intermediate” project, I keep getting better at this…my question is, I would love to make one 2xs this size is there anywhere in the rows that I could do multiples of before getting to the shell part to make this bigger, would I have to increase after the chain 5 row…I’m making this for my daughter’s dinning room table for the center.
