This potholder is nice for my kitchen and makes for a nice gift as well. I love the colors since it matches my kitchen decor.

Supplies:

F hook
Wine and White Cotton yarn or whatever you prefer
Yarn needle
Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sl st=slip stitch
sc=single crochet
dc=double crochet
ch=chain
Shell= (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc)
Picot stitch= chain 3, sl st in the insert hook from the 3rd stitch from the hook
Wine yarn, ch 12, join with a sl st to form ring.
Row 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), (3 dc, ch 2, 4 dc) in ring, Turn
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in each dc across to ch-2 space, shell in the ch-2 space, dc in each remaining dc across. Turn.
Rows 3-10: Repeat Row 2 in the next 8 rows.
Row 11: Ch 3 (counts as dc), *skip next 2 dc, 3 dc in the next dc, ch 2, dc in the next dc, skip next dc *Repeat, When you get to the ch-2 space, shell in the ch-2 space, then Repeat * to * after the ch-2 space, dc last dc. Turn
Row 12: Ch 3. [3 dc, ch 2, dc in the next ch-2 space] Repeat this to the center ch-2 space, right before the ch-2 space, skip next 3 dc, dc in the next 2 dc, shell in the ch-2 space, Repeat [] to the end, at the end skip next 3 dc, dc in the top of ch-3. Turn
Row 13: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in each dc across, and ch 1 across the ch-2 spaces, shell in the center ch-2 space, dc in each remaining dc and ch 1 across the remaining ch-2 spaces. Turn
Rows 14-15: Ch 3 (count as dc), dc in each dc, across to ch-2 space, shell in the ch-2 space, dc in each remaining dc across. Turn Repeat this row twice, Fasten off.
Edge: White yarn
Join with white yarn with a slip stitch along the edge, work (sc in the next 3 stitches, then picot stitch) Evenly spaced along the edge to beginning ring, work 10 sc in the ring, repeat () evenly spaced across to ch-2 space, work (1 sc, picot, 1sc) in the ch-2 space, repeat () evenly along edge, join with sl st in beg sc. Fasten off.
