This blanket will make a nice baby blanket and gift.

Size 34″ by 34″
Materials:
G hook
Caron 4-ply (3 oz. Skeins) – 8 skeins of Yellow; 2 skeins of light Green yarn. (Or Whatever Colors you would prefer)
Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sl st=slip stitch
sc=single crochet
dc=double crochet
ch=chain
beg=beginning
Gauge: 5 sts=1″; 4 rows = 1′
Blanket:
With Yellow Yarn, ch 141.
Row 1: Skip the second ch from the hook, work 1 sc and 1 hdc in third ch from the hook, *skip 1 ch, 1 sc and 1 hdc in next st; *Repeat from *across -(140 sts). Ch 1, turn.
Rows 2 through 14: *Skip 1 st, 1 sc and 1 hdc in the next st; repeat from * across, changing to light green in last st of Row 14-(140 sts.)
Row 15: Work pattern changing to Yellow Yarn in last st.
Row 16: Work pattern changing to Light Green in last st.
Row 17: Work pattern changing to Yellow in last st.
Row 18: Work pattern across.
Rows 19 through 122: Repeat Rows 1 through 18 five times, then end with 14 rows of Yellow.
Border – Row 1 : work 1 rnd hdc around border with Yellow, increasing 2 hdc at each corner, and working 1 hdc in edge of each row along two side edges, join end of rnd with sl st to first hdc.
Row 2: Ch 1 beg at corner, skip 1 st, work (1 sc, 1 dc, 1 sc) in next st, *skip 2 sts, (1 sc, 1 dc, 1 sc) in next st; repeat from * around skipping only 1 st  between groups of sts when working around corners. Fasten off.

    I just finished this blanket and it is beautiful. Used cream for the main color and lime juice for the stripes in baby blanket yarn. Just one note, I did not skip a stitch on the corners on the last border row. That kept the corners from curling up. Thank you for this pattern.
