Abbreviations:

ch=chain

sc=single crochet

dc=double crochet

sl st=slip stitch

Supplies:

I used Caron Soft Cream Yarn

H hook, Yarn needle

Now My head measures 22 inches around. So I made this headband 20 inches long and Sewed the ends Together, make sure to have the cable part on the outside when  you sew the ends together. So just subtract two inches off your length on your headband after you measure your head around.

Instructions:

Chain 14, Row 1: work a dc in 3rd chain from the hook and dc in each chain across, Turn -12 dc

Row 2: Ch 1, Dc in the first and second dc, front post dc in the 4th dc, and go back and front post dc in the 3rd dc (this creates a cable stitch by crossing over dc), dc in the 5th, front post dc in the 7th dc, and go back and front post dc in the 6th dc (this creates a cable stitch by crossing over dc), dc in the 8th dc, front post dc in the 10th dc and go back and front post dc in the 9th dc, dc in the 11 th dc and 12 th dc, Turn. -12 dc

Row 3: Now you are working on the back side of the headband: Ch 1, dc in the first and second dc, back post dc in the previous 4th dc and back post dc in the previous 3rd dc (this will straighten out your cable in this Row), dc in the 5th dc, back post dc in the previous 7th dc and back post dc in the 6th dc, dc in the 8th dc, back post dc in the previous 10th dc, and back post dc in the previous 9th dc, dc in the 11 th dc and 12 th dc, Turn. -12 dc

Now Return to Row 2 and Repeat Row 2 and then Repeat Row 3 again, and go back and forth between Rows 2 and 3 until your headband reaches the length you need.

    Do you have a pattern available for the little colorful circle coasters that I see as your header on your website? I would love to learn to make those. Please email me at brittiami@yahoo.com to let me know!! thanks!!
